Exploring Las
Vegas: The Other Side of Sin City
We all know the saying. “What happens in Vegas
stays in Vegas.” When you hear the words
“ Las Vegas,” you immediately think about gambling and
all the other things that should “stay in
Vegas.” But
there are tons of things to do in Vegas that you don’t
have to be ashamed about, and still have a great
time.
Even if you’ve never been to Las Vegas, everyone
knows that the city has it all. Everywhere you turn
there’s a new tourist attraction that will catch your eye
and make you whip out your camera to take some
shots. One
of the best parts of traveling is coming home and showing
off all your pictures to your family and friends to make
them jealous. So explore this
exciting town and bring it home with you.
Vegas is obviously known for their dozens of
ritzy hotels that all offer a unique staying
experience.
While you may be staying at one hotel, who’s to say that
you can’t explore the rest of them? Take your friends along
on a tour of all the hotels on the strip. Each one offers
something new with such themes as New York, New York,
Treasure Island, and Excalibur. All of the hotels are
unique and most offer their own special hotel
entertainment like the Bellagio’s water show, the
Mirage’s Volcano, and Treasure Island’s Pirate
show. Having
a Vegas Hotel day is a sure way to get the full Vegas
experience.
Most of the hotels also have dozens of shops to
meet your shopping and window shopping needs. While having hotel gift
shops, many of the hotels also have shops where you can
buy some of the best designer products, or at least
pretend like you can. Vegas is full of
stores, and their not hard to come by. Just walk down the
strip and you’ll encounter stores that will meet every
purpose. Are
you an M&M fanatic? Stop by the 4 story
M&M store where you can buy exclusive colors of the
candy, all the souvenirs you can think of, and even go on
a tour to learn the history of the candy. Maybe you prefer
Coca-Cola.
Well there’s a full Coke store too, where you can buy
everything you can think of with the product stamped on
it. The
shops of Las Vegas offer an exciting opportunity to grab
that special souvenir.
If you’re in Las Vegas, somewhere at the top of
your to-do list should be “see a show.” Las Vegas has tons of
world class shows ranging from musical theatre to
magic. Don’t
worry if you can’t afford the Cirque Du Sole or the
Celine Dion show. Vegas has several great
shows that often times go under the radar. There are discount
ticket vendors located by the Coca-Cola store where you
can grab tickets to some great shows. Definitely check out
these kiosks.
Traveling to Vegas should be an exciting time
that’ll take home with you, not something that needs to
“stay there.” Sure, there will be
plenty of time to let loose and do regrettable
things. Why
not make up for it, by hitting up some of the great
tourist spots that Las Vegas has to offer! (Check out

Attractions, Events" page.)
